2023..a new year and a new beginning?

I always say, don't start a diet on a Monday, start today, even if it's a Friday!


Why? What do I mean by that?


I agree that starting a new week, a new year, a new beginning for whatever reason can feel very appealing to the mind, in terms of changing things into something better and something that we have dreamed of.


We often believe this will happen and start to make big changes in order to feel we are really keeping the promise to ourselves.


The motivation is great! I love that and it is of course the best start and also required for us to really change.


However, my goal is to help people stay in their changes, not only for a week, a month but for the rest of their lives! And for that we need to reprogram our brains, and that requires patience and persistence. We need to implement changes in baby steps so that we are sure they really settle.


To conclude, the start of a new week, a new year etc is of course a great target but for me the most important is that you are ready to make one small change, already today! After that we work on making them stay...forever. It shouldn't matter if it's April, Thursday, your Birthday, your day off work or whatever. Any day, any reason, any circumstance is the right starting point to change! This is how I work and how I make changes stay.
